Welcome to the website for Friends-R-4, a community initiative established in 2008 by Dr. Ronnie Goldberg OAM and the Rotary Club of Williamstown (District 9800) in Melbourne, Australia.
After several of Ronnie's friends and acquaintances had been diagnosed with various blood, bone marrow and skin cancers - lymphoma, leukaemia, multiple myeloma and melanoma - Ronnie decided to set up Friends-R-4 as a way to fight these cancers. More information on these illnesses can be found by navigating to the links page.
Friends-R-4 aims to raise funds in order to:
a) provide funding for urgent medical research
b) purchase desperately required equipment at local institutions and centres
c) provide assistance to cancer sufferers and their families
d) help promote the prevention and awareness of skin cancer
Further information can be found on the Projects page of this website.
Please read through the information available on this user-friendly website, which will be updated on a regular basis, and please try and help us with our work by either donating or volunteering.
Organise your own Friends-R-4 EVENT OR Fundraiser!
If you are having a birthday, special occasion or wish to organise a specific event, have you considered running it as a fundraiser for Friends-R-4? Please contact Dr. Ronnie Goldberg for more information on how you can assist.
